Hi

My PC configuration for the printer is such that for individual print jobs I can preview each item before spooling to the print queue. (for long e-mail correspondence this is handy because I am able to print only the most recent page of communication.....).

However, from my Access DB - the reports I am printing are of known size and I have no need to view each report in preview when I want to print of a batch of schedules. As a result each schedule previews and the printer delays waiting for acceptance of the report before printing.....Has anyone an API or other, that would enable me to either access the printer preferences dialog from within my DB - so that I can temporarily disable this print setting? Or do you alternatively know of a flag that I can reset in the code before each print job runs????

Printer is an : HP Deskjet 1220C

Thanks for any help you can give me.

see attached file, someone ( don't remember who) uploaded it last week to another thread and I found it to be very helpful and maybe it will be to you also.

thanks for the file - just one problem it seems to be corrupted in some way? When I try and open - Access reports an unrecognised file format. This has happened using 97 on both XP and Win98 SE platforms. Any ideas?

It's not corrupted, it is formated for Access 2000 not 97.

I'm attaching a copy that has been converted to 97 BUT the two example forms are coded for 2000 and 2002 not 97 but you may be able to figure out a 97 solution from it.

I may try to tackle the 97 example later this week myself if your willing to wait several days.
