Conceptual help needed. I want to select a group of records by using various query criteria which will be supplied by a form. Then I want to look at the records and randomly select non contiguous records and have them print in report form.

I accomplished the first part and have the records displayed in a continuous form but I can’t select non-contiguous records and I don’t know how to accomplish the report piece of the project. I know how to make a report I just don’t know how to get it to print selected records.

Any ideas are appreciated, doesn’t necessarily have to go the way I have gone so far.

Once you have your query set up, add a column to it: Expr1: rnd(1)
Then sort by this column and select the TOP N records (search help for 'topvalues').

This comes from the article http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;q128874

Because you're sorting on a randomly generated number, you'll get a random portion of your recordset.
