I am currently creating a database for Work Permits. The main form has the Contractors name and Company in the Header, and the Detail pane has 7 Sub forms with various tick boxes that the contractor has to tick depending on what his task is. This all works like a dream however when it comes to print all I get is the Headings of each Sub report. The Header and Footer print fine it is just the 'Detail' section.

Doing a Print preview on each individual sub form is fine but as soon as more than one appear in the same form, just the headings again.

can you post your database, or a screen shot of the report "design" view and also of teh underlying query?

ok, got ur DB. i presume the form/report you mean is "ViewPermit" for both.

i'd say the issue is that you are using subforms instead of subreports in your report. try to create sub-reports instead. also, your report should really be based on a query, not a table - that way you can include other nifty features to your database. like a "print this permit" button from your form (it would execute code to filter your report for the currently displaying PermitNumber on the form)

edit: i would also recommend making the reports more printer-friendly (white background, remove "etched" or "sunken" lines in favour of solid lines... etc) it can still look cool with the right combination of colours (for lines) and arrangement of controls.
