Printing of Barcodes

I have an Access database which accepts input from a barcode reader using Inputbox function. However I need to know what one needs to Printout a barcode? Is it just a special printer driver or a whole application. The Scanner worked directly i pluged it into the ps2 port.
So I need Advice on how to print a list of "Product Numbers" as Barcodes which can later be scanned for input.

I looked at another app which had barcodes and they had a report with a field value something like "*123*" Which produced a barcode on print On their machine. When I tried to print it from my machine it printed the contents of the speachmarks but no barcode.
Could anyone point me in the right direction please.

You need to have special software to print out barcodes.

Try some of these trials found at zdnet. Be Carefull when picking one out, make sure that supports controlls from MS Access, word, excel... some programs just allow you to type in the barcode information and then it creates a picture of the barcode.

I think you are a head of me therefore if you can help me please. What kind of hard ware do I need for reading barcodes, I'm looking for something that works with access, and do you set it up with acess, please let me know or send me a sample example of you have. Thank you.
