Hi friends,

is there any possibility to make a procedure in VBA that allows me to print access reports on POS printer awoiding printer driver or any other way for printing on roll paper printers? For example, by making a command button and using that procedure on click event.

I have heard that old MS DOS applications use such way for printing invoices or reports by determinating margins and other objects in a report through code and that they do not use printer driver.

I hope I explained it clear.

Thanks for any help.

Wow, havn't heard that in awhile.
You can do it with the PRINT command in VB, but it is a lot of work.
NOTE - All you young'uns are spoiled by todays reporting capabilities.
What's wrong with going through the printer driver?
One other thought, you could setup a TEXT ONLY printer and use that, it won't print images, fonts, etc. , just plain old text. That maybe an easier way not knowing why you are asking such a question.
