Problem doing a transfer text (1 Viewer)

I am getting an error message that says that the database or object is read only evne though it is not when I am trying to do an import delimited. It was working fine until I was using VB6 and trying to make some changes to the configuration. Now when you do an import under get external dataand you look at files of type you see a new one that says Exchange (*.*). This indicates that the any type of file that isn't known (like a *.lis) is considered to be an exchange file although it is a text file. Only *.txt and *.csv are looked at as text file. Is there a fix in the install program (perhaps deleting the .dll file and then reinstalling)? If anybody knows please let me know. thanks - bruce
