problem opening access database twice

Hi There

Im probably being thick, but...

ive just upgraded our sales database from access 97 to access 2002. everything is fine apart from when i try to open the database twice on one machine - it wont allow this. In access 97 this was allowed and i normally had atleast 3 databases (all the same database) open at once.

is there an easy answer??

Verify that you aren't attempting to do an OPEN EXCLUSIVE. If you have properly joined the workgroup and aren't trying to run as the Admin account, you can do this pretty easily with Workgroup permissions. An upgrade of the DB via migration could cause the result you describe. An upgrade in-place could also do it if you didn't upgrade the WKG file at the same time.
