Problem opening some forms...

I have a main menu which has buttons to open other forms. Most of them work fine except for 2. When the buttons are clicked the corresponding forms do open, BUT they hide behind the main menu. Its only when I click the same button again that it pops up properly....

I've checked all of the properties against working buttons. I've even re-made the buttons and forms, but it is still happening. Its probably something simple but I can't seem to find out what.

Does anyone know how to fix this annoying problem?

Just stabbing in the dark, but have you tried throwing in a setfocus or a refresh?

No. What do you mean about refresh? I haven't come across that before...

Check that you haven't accidently put these two events on the 'On Double Click' instead of the 'On Click' event.

they are definitely on the onclick event

i solved the problem this way.

I have had the same problem also, Access 2K, and my solution was to set up the form with all the buttons, i call "HOme", to closed after i open the next form. Then when I am done with the "SecondForm" that i opened, i open Home and then close SecondForm.

I have to redo my code so that there were no dependencies in the SecondForm dependent upon the Home form. . . then all worked fine.

Try setting the Pop Up property of the form to Yes. Properties > Other > Pop Up = Yes
