problem opening two copies of the same database (1 Viewer)

Hi There

Im probably being thick, but...

ive just upgraded our sales database from access 97 to access 2002. everything is fine apart from when i try to open the database twice on one machine - it wont allow this. In access 97 this was allowed and i normally had atleast 3 databases (all the same database) open at once.

is there an easy answer??

Sorry for asking...why would you need to open the same database 2x on one machine at the same time?

I've had this problem before. Open Access then open the database rather than double-clicking on the .mdb.

In order to test multi-user functionality on one PC you would want to open the db twice.
