I have a problem with creating a link between Excel spreadsheet and a table in Access. When I finish linking it, Some of the field is listed as "#Num!". I tried changing the cell format from "number" to "general" to "text" in Excel, but nothing seems to work.
Anybody know what's wrong with it?

Thank you

Which side is showing the #Num response? The Access side or the Excel side?

On the Access side. When the linked table is created, there are some #Num error in it.

Seems to be that any number field in Access that is blank displays #Num. I'm having the same problem as we speak

If you double-click the blank fields in Excel, the #Num disappears in Access.

Another Microsoft 'hidden feature'?

Im quite certain this is due to format / data type of the specific type you are using.

Number Problems

I have had the same problem with linking - check your data - in the cells and fix it or reenter the number. If that doesn't work - I have had trouble with not being able to set the table properties to anything but number even thought there is text in some of the rows -I went to a text .txt or .csv file for a linked table and got rid of all my woes.
