Problem with making a report showing only the Sum.

Guys i still havent figured out how to make a report which will be just showing the sum of Data for certain fields.
Am using check boxes in indicating if a student has done a particular course.
So then i want to just show the sum(=-sum([Course] )of the these students who have done this course on a saparate report.

I tryed to at first but it was still giving me blank pages before showing the las page that has the totals for these courses

If you want the desired results to show in a report with the origin data, then you'll need to write a queery that calculates the totals you desire, and then place a sub_report within the main report that is derived from the new query.

The query should be a group by by hitting the TOTALS button on the toolbar.

I made the query to calculate the totals but thing is my Answers are having a Minus sign(-),How can i ensure that the sum does not have a minus(-) sign.
