Problem with Record Selector on form (1 Viewer)

When i click on a field in my booking form. A pencil record selector shows on the left hand side. When this is there i cant do anything with my form. Is there a way to remove this?

The form is for booking an appointment. On my booking form i have a list box with shows available times. When i select a free slot the pencil icon appears and i am unable to select customer details which is also in a list box.

Sounds like your recordset may not be updateable or something. Kind of hard to say without seeing something (I'm more visual so seeing the actual database is easier for me).
