Problem with the button on the form

Access 2003

I have other forms and I tried creating buttons on those forms - if the button is coded, it does not work. -f

Hmmm, I know when I open my db it asks me if it is all right to open the db because it may have code to harm my computer.

I used to hit open untill I adjusted the setting on my computer to stop asking me that. Does yours ask you this when you open it up or did it and what did you do to stop it.

Maybe???

Do have any other db's? Do they have the same problem?

Can you clean out the classified stuff, zip the db, and post it. I'll see if I can do anything.

If you do decide to clean out the classified stuff SAVE or COPY the db before you delete!!! I made that mistake. It wasn't pretty.

Are you doing this from your personal computer or from work? Maybe your boss set something to prevent code from running.

Yes, the db code was blocked before when I would first open the db but I turned it off... the toolbar would appear on top, and when I clicked on it, the new window popped-up and I checked 'do not ask me again' and proceeded to open the dB.

There is an old database on our departmental drive that's not in use currently. It was not built by me and I believe it was built in Access 2003. You gave me an idea - I will look at it and see if I can code a button there.

My database is on my work laptop. My boss does not have access to it at this time.

I will try to clean it up and post it. And, thank you for the tip, cardgunner - I'll make sure to save away a copy before the cleanup :)

Thank you so much for your help.

Also I have a db on here

go to

the last thread there is cardgunner2 database

In the footer of cstfrm there is a button labeled Filter by Query.

See if that works for you. It does for me. If it doesn't I would say It has something to do with your security settings on the computer.

cardgunner,

Not one button on your cstfrm works for me

Also, I tried the old database I was mentioning in my previous post - same disappointing results.

I'm gonna have to check the security settings...

Thanks,
