We have just sold our first database which is written in Access 2000. However the buyer runs 2003 and we are having trouble with getting it to run correctly. Does anyone know anything about programming differences between MS 2000 Access and 2003?

Also is it possible to install both 2000 and 2003 on one computer (and also 2007)?

So far our problems are:
1. We are tripping their security alerts.
2. We can't seem to read public variables from another form.

HELP!

Thanks a lot, Rural Guy. This may not solve all my problems, but it is a good place to start. I am still digesting it and will have to do some testing, too, as I don't yet have Office 2003.

Now, anybody have an answer to part 2? Can I have both versions on my computer at once? I tried to install 2000 again, hopefully in some other folder, but it detected the first instance and only updated it. I wanted to get the 2003 update version and update only one instance.

You can have many versions installed because each one uses a different directory under Microsoft Office. The last one installed will be the default Access to load. You can select the version to load by pointing to the MSACCESS.EXE that you want to run in a shortcut.
