Problems with Output Format acFormatXLS (1 Viewer)

I am trying to output my report to excel but keep getting an error. Here is my code:

DoCmd.SendObject acSendReport, issrpt, acFormatXLS, "email@email.com", , , "Defect Report for " & brdtp & "-" & BRDNum, "Attached please find the issues/defect report.", True

I have used the output format acFormatSNP and it works fine, but the Excel output gives me the following error: "The format in which you are attempting to output the current object is unavailable".

Any ideas why?
