Problems with user security

Hey

When i implement user security on my access database at home with user ID's and passwords, i need to take this database and copy it into another computer at work. However, when i open my access database on other computers at work, there is no prompt for a login password or user ID.

Why is this so?

The prompt for user login is because you have not joined the required usergroup at that site. You also need to provide the workgroup at the work site

If you have implemented security properly, this will not be a prop=blem, as the users who have not properly logged in will find they do not have privileges to use any of the databse objects.

Note that this may be a source of irritation to you and your users, if you have to keep joining and un-joining workgroups to use different databases.
