Procedure/Function in Access

I hate access and have to do some coursework on it. Could someone tell me what Procedure/Function means from my database, i've created the database but with the theory writing it asks me to do a table for the name and the reason of the Procedure/Function. Also asks me to do the same with the Veruable. Coursework has to be in soon so if someone can help me with this asap i will be greatful. Thanks.
