product catogories

Can someone plese tell me the best way to get a catogory and product details selection to work in a sub form order details table .
I have no trouble with a products combo box but as soon as i try to put a catogory combo box in and use cascading combo boxes it wont work .Ican make the cascading comboboxes work great in a diffrent form but not in a subform .
Should i be using a diffrent method to make this work or is it just not possible in sub forms.I have looked at north wind but they dont seem to use catogory selection .
TO clarify, in my order details table i have a combo box to select the product.Inow need a catogory selection to limit the products shown in my combo box

Before we examine the example db that I posted, could you tell us a bit more about the problem you are having in case I guessed incorrectly about your difficulties. What exactly is it that does not work, for example?
Perhaps you could post a copy of your db in A2003 mdb format for us to examine.
