Question Property leasing database

Hi,

I would like to know if there is any sample/guide I can follow to build a property leasing database.

There will be different types of items in categories, e.g:

COMPUTERS:
1. HP Compaq Serial No. 12345
2. HP Compaq Serial No. 6789
3. Genius ...

PRINTERS:
1.
2.

SCANNERS:
1.
2.
3

ETC

The property are borrowed by other office workers. What I want the program to do is subtract what has been borrowed by who from the inventory and add what has been returned by who to the inventory indicating the number of items in and out for each category.

I will appreciate also if there is any working example.
