I know that when an Access Query is Exported to Excell the file is named after the table or query that creates it, but I have to change the name of the file to meet certain requirements, but i want to be able to create a macro that on Export will send the name of the table or query to a file, that I can later pull from the file and store it on the excell spreadsheet so that should i need to make changes i know exactly which table or query created the file. Can anyone help me with this?

Create a report from the query. Name the report whatever you wish. Export the report as an Excel spreadsheet.

Note: do not use page or report headers or footers in a report you're exporting to Excel.

Similar but not the same...

Hi. I want to do something similar, but for when I click on a label.
Basically, I already have code that creates a box every time the user performs a certain action. Then I want them to be able to click on any of these and it take either the caption or the name of that label and put it somewhere, preferably just in say a text box on the same form or something.

Any ideas?!! This ones been killing me  cheers guys.
