Hello All,
I have two different databases and in one the dialog boxes are working and in the other they are not. I did exactly the same thing in both.
The error message it is giving me is: "Undefined Function 'Left' in expression. I followed instructions from an access book and the syntax given was: SELECT [Name] FROM MSysObjects WHERE [Type]=5 And LEFT([Name],1)<>"~" ORDER BY [Name];
Which makes sense to me that we are selecting the left most character of the name to choose to show a query.
Can you please help and tell me what I have done wrong?
I have checked my queries as well and do not see anything abnormal.
Thank you for your help!

Open any code page (where you see the Debug menu) in the db that is not working. Select Tools > References and uncheck any or all items that say "MISSING".

Thank you so much!
I have not idea what I did, I just followed your instructions, and it all worked. Now I can see the list of my queries and reports.
Thank you very much!!!

Do you mind explaining to me what I did and why?
I do not understand why the "missing" was checked and what do references mean in the tools menu?

I am pretty new at this and I would like to learn so in the future I can fix this again.

Access requires access to 'libraries' that run built-in functions like the Left() function. If Access loses track of where this library is then you get your error. Unchecking the Missing item allows Access to look and find the library again. Here are a couple of articles that may help you a bit more than my simple explanation...

Thank you again for all your help. your explanation and the articles made things so much more clear.
