Hello,

I have 2 tables Tickets and Departments

in the tickets tbl the "departments" are listed under column GRP as group1, group2, group3 etc....

in the departments tbl the "departments" are list under column Deparment as "Sales","Billing" etc

I would like to run my query and have the 2 (GRP and Depts) matchup

group1 = Sales
group2 = Billing
etc

But I can't figure this out .....

Any help is appreciated ...and thank you in advance

You could add a field to the departments table for the group, then join on that field in a query.

Damn it! ...I had a feeling it was going to be simple! .... Thank you very much Paul!

it worked!

Okay ...now that I have solved that issue .... I have another .....

my users enter their time via an online form ..the time itself is entered from a drop down box ..

:15,:30,:45,1:00 ....etc

in MS Access, I run my query and it displays the data ....

But when I switch to Pivot Table view or export it to excel it doesn't add the time per field or in totals it gives me a count in "units" entered ....

is there a way to have the query display the "time" data as "0:00"
