query problem

I'm sure this has been asked many times before. I apologize in advanced. I want to create a query that pulls fields from one table then sees the value in a field then pulls data from another table for the record in that table where the two fields are equal.

how do I do this?

Add both tables into the query and drag the value you want to match across to the other table of the same field. Add all the fields from the 'other' table.
