Good Afternoon,

First I hope I am posting in the correct forum as I am new here. I was hoping I could get some guidance on a query.

Currently I am working on a project for work where we have a records with a few dates in them. Created Date, Closed Date and Todays Date. The table is linked to Access via external link to Excel Spreadsheet since these records update often and the table is updated daily.

What I want to do is pull design a query or series of queries to pull records based on the current week of the year. In addition my job doesn't follow the basic calendar week and week 1 is first week of February.

An example of what I am looking to do is get the results of how many records were opened last year week 18 vs how many records were opened this year week 18. Same with currency. How many dollars were recovered last year week 18 vs this year week 18. But week 18 is based of company calendar year and not January 1..

Can this be done? Any help anyone could give would be great.

The simplest method is to a Financial Week table I have also seen a Date based method and then update each record with the Week No and/or Year No. Probably not the most technical but the easiest method to encompass Financial reporting.

Simon
