Query/Report help please!

Morning all,

I am trying to create a report from my tables and it seems a lot more difficult than i hoped it would be. It may be because of the way i have set the tables up initially.

I have enclosed a copy of my database and below an idea of how i would like the report to look something like.

If anyone could advise on how i would look into going about it i would be very grateful.


Operative Name: J.Bloggs Tool: Strimmer
W/Commencing: 01/01/01
Mon Hrs: 6 Points: 26.25
Tues Hrs: 0 Points: 0
Wed Hrs: 0 Points: 0
Thur Hrs: 0 Points: 0
Fri Hrs: 5 Points: 20.50
Sat Hrs: 0 Points: 0
Sun Hrs: 0 Points: 0
Total Hrs: 11 Points: 46.75 (Points are from tblOperatingTool and needs to be multiplied by the hrs)

I think i may have set the tables up wrong with regard the days of the week. The reason i have done it this way is that it is imperitive from this report that i get the total number of 'points' per day as well as per week. If i have set this up incorrectly, again does anyone have any idea on the best way to amend it.

Hope that makes sense and thankyou for taking the time to have a look at my query. I realise its a long one!!

you have not entered points for many tools

enter the points to get the accurate figures

Very grateful at how fast you got back to me and it has helped me loads. I only have one query about it.

There are 1400+ records in the main table but only 670 for the report, I noticed that A.Spittlehouse has two records for 06/05/07 using two different tools for the same week totalling 12hrs but the report only shows one item and 4 hrs. Is this easily amended or not?.

Dear actually i just gave it ten minutes tell me if format is ok
if yes then i will recheck the data and will post again within two hours

right now i am going out of office for some work will be back in one hour

Hi dear i have checked your data

there are lot of rows in which tool is not entered

fill those rows and you will get the accurate results with all 1400+ records
