Query Returns Field in "Japanese"

I apologize right now, I didn't know how to start this thread. I have an existing query that I would like to add to. It pulls from several tables. One of which has "Notes" field that I now need to reference. When I add it to my query, it appears as Japanese or Chinese characters. My database is entirely in English. There are no error messages at all. I have searched for similar issues and haven't found anyone else experiencing this particular one!! Thanks for any insight anyone may have.

Else try seaching Google with the words: "Japanese or Chinese characters+ms-Access" it gives over 5.000.000 hits, so you are not the only one.

Thanks, I did manage to work my query a different way and I am no longer bilingual!!
