Querying in the existing form

Hi all,

Im a little confused with the Query to form business.

I am trying to let users search through my main database (in a form) but when i start up a query the results are produced in a table format or in a new form completely. (through the wizard) I cannot get it to link to the original form people enter data into.

Can anyone please point me in the right direction? What i am looking for is for people to be able to enter a surname in a search box hit a button and the original form (containg the data) to pick out the required result ( and perhaps added to if necessary).

I am not exactly sure what you are after but you can use a combo box on your form to find a specific record. To do this create a combo box using the Wizard and on the Wizards first screen select the 3rd item, "Find a record....". Finish the Wizard. Now selecting a name, or whatever, from the combo box will display the persons record in the form.
