I was wondering if someone could please tell me about radio buttons.I'd like to know what they do, and how you can make them on a form coz they don't seem to be on my toolbox

I presume your talking about command buttons.
Are you in design mode on your form?
If the design icons are not visible try resetting the toolbars in customize (right click in the empty part of the toolbar). Male sure the toolbox toolbar is selected.
The buttons functions can either be programmed yourself (through VB) or you can let the access wizard create the button and do the programming for you by following the series of dialog boxes.

I think that you may be refering to 'Option Buttons' These are little round buttons. They are used to choose an option, similar to choosing an option on a menu I suppose. Have a look in the help file to get you started.

Actually, the correct name for them IS radio buttons (fun name, huh?). You can use them in two ways. One, as members of an option group (they usually are - as referenced by DJN above) and in an option group you can only select one at a time. So, if you click on one, another that is selected will unselect. This is the STANDARD programming use of radio buttons.

However, that being said, you can choose to use them in a situation where checkboxes would normally be used (i.e. to select more than one option). If you use them in this way, you will not be able to use the Option Group wizard and you just add an individual radio button and then can copy and paste as many as you'd like. You'll have to name or keep track of the names of each and use them accordingly in your code.
