I have been trying to rank a table, using the format suggested in MS download examples Qrysmp97.mdb.
It ranks in order but CANT COUNT properly
Here is the results I am getting
Name Margin POS (rank)
aa 1 3
bb 1.900 6
cc 2.8 6
dd 2.2 6
ee 9.900 8
ff 5.2 7
gg 0 1 Correct
hh 11.9 9
ii 2 6
jj 13.4 10
The Zero should be first and is correct.
The 10 is correctly ranked last.
As u can see it fairly ranks in order but for some reason its missing ranks 2,4,5
and lumps numbers from 1.9 to 2.2 into a single rank
Anyone got any ideas on this please

I think I have found my own solution so dont worry.

After working at thisfor a whole day,by changing the "+1" at the end of the statement to +.01,it now finds in correct order/number.
What i obviously hadnt realised was the +1 meant there had to be a diff of 1 between each item ,whereas I have only decimal points seperating them.

I've been trying to download qrysmp97.mdb file from Microsoft Website but cannot find it.. Can you help in giving the exact path where it is ? Search does not work.
my email ID is babs_cdn@yahoo.com
