read only access on win 2003 server

I am currently upgrading to win 2003 servers. When I open an access 2000 database on the server I get a read only warning.

I have check all the permissions to allow the users access, but the warning remains.

I do not have the problem with any other documents on the server.

If anyone has any ideas I would really appreciate a response.

If you are going to move folders from a win2000 server to a win2003 server, you need to create the share folder on the 2003 svr first using the file server management tool, then grant the required permissions to your user groups.

You can then move the databases into the shared folder and you no longer get the read only access to the database.
