Read Only

I have just moved my database's of yester year on to my new Pc (Access 2003) and when I try to open one I get the error message The Database XX is Read Only. I feel that I have been here before but it is quite a long time since I looked at any code. I would like to get these working but I do not remember where to look.

Do you have rights to location you moved it to? I know its your machine but Windows XP Pro for instance in a network deployment by default wont let you save stuff to the root of C, and does some funny things with security at times.

Many thanks for your input, I created a folder on the C drive (Win 7) and put all my DB's in the folder, but it was just the same. I then partitioned the drive moved then all to the new partition and it is all smiles now. Why Acer ship a Pc with 500GB drive without at least one partition beats me.
