the OP is concerned that the info entered in the "password-masked"
textbox can be copied therefore compromised.
on previous test copying is not possible using Ctr-C, directly over the textbox.
but it was revealed that using Immediate window, on VBA, can cause it
to show:
?[Forms]![FormName]![theTextbox]
note that even the db is in .accde form, the immediate window is still available.
my first attempt was just "save" the original content of the textbox and replace
it with some "other" text.
i added another optional boolean parameter, so the user
can elect to replaced the displayed Text as Asterisk.
this mimic the "Input Mask" (password) of the textbox.
