All, I advise you to be very careful when you believe you have an Access database with corruption and using the Stellar Data Recovery tool, Stellar Phoenix Access Recovery Software. Here's my experience with them.
- The tool doesn't give you any feedback about what tables, query's, forms, reports, modules, etc. it worked on and what it did after completion.
- The tool removed all of my linked tables in the front-end of my split database. Not the end of the world; just relink them. However, it also deleted all append queries that used the linked tables. Again, not record of what it deleted.
- The tool on about 10% of my queries added back the same tables so I had twice the number of tables in the "recovered" query than before the recovery. The queries wouldn't run.
- Email technical support is horrible! It takes up to 24 hours to get a response and it was in many cases unrelated to the feedback I provided them.
- Via email they asked me to send a copy of the db file. I sent them 4+ times and in all cases they were returned as undeliverable because of server issues at Stellar.
- I called technical support probably 10+ times over two days and after answering the prompts, you would hear about 10 seconds of ringing and then the call would be dropped. I never spoke to technical support. Finally in frustration, I called their sales line. One ring and the call was answered. I requested a refund. The individual said I would get an email response in 12 hours from their order department. Here's a company that will take your money on one ring but won't support it! I asked the representative who the top person at Stellar was so I could provide feedback. He said they weren't allowed to disclose that information.
I personally had really bad experience with Stellar's Access recovery tool. Be careful if you decide to purchase their product.
