Hello guys. I have a little but quite strange problem using MS Access 2010. One of my database field's is using multiply values (you can add one than more values in that field by checkbox). So, for example, one record in that ONE field looks like this: "Gastropoda; Mermithidae; Nematoda; Oligochaeta; Scorpiones". When I'm going to "PrivotTable view" I have only "Ga" for instance instead of full names...

I don't know if my description of the problem is clear because my English is not very fluent but I really need your help solving it. The essence of the problem is the fact that I'm using MS Publisher related with the database and as I mentioned in the Publisher fields I can see only the beginnings of the full fieldd, "Ga" for example instead of "Gastropoda; Mermithidae;....".

I would be very thankful if anyone can help me.

Here are some screens where the problem can be seen.

There are attached files of my test database and Publisher documment: speedy.sh/YvGtb/DB.rar

You haven't given us much info, but it sounds like you need a database structure that will handle a biological classification system.
Please tell us more -- pretend you're talking to us in a mcDonalds lineup -- we don't know you, your experience, your environment, the priority, business need etc etc - so in plain English in very simple terms -- what is the issue?

Here is URL of the database and the documment that is using that database, you can download it: speedy.sh/YvGtb/DB.rar

The essence of the problem: One of the database fields named "Pavadinimas" have multiply values. That database can be filled with the form (when you open that database you can see a form included "40 valymas". Using that form everything works fine). So, the problem is with USING DATABASE IN THE "MS PUBLISHER". When you connect that database to that documment, almost everything works correctly, except values from the field "Pavadinimas".

Here are screens where that problem is seen:

As you see in the screens, values from field "Pavadinimas" are shown incomplete. For instance, it should be shown the full value: "Acari; Erythraeidae; Mermithidae; Scorpiones", but MS Publisher shows us "Ac" (only the beginning of the full value). Maybe someone would think that the problem is not in MS Access database but in MS Publisher. I'm almost sure, that MS Access database have a problem, not MS Publisher.

So, you can see database and the documment by downloading it. It should be more clear than looking to screens.

I would avoid using the multivalued field. I would create the appropriate table and populate it accordingly. My guess is that this "new feature" of Access is not recognized by Publisher.

I have found a simple solution to this problem. I have tried to use MS Office 2013 and everything works correctly! I think, Microsoft have noticed this error of multiply values and fixed it in 2013 version. :)
