Record Locked

I have a database divided into a backend and frontend that is working very well. Now from the past few days when users are trying to attach picture, they cannot and the error comes that Record locked, cannot be updated. I check it all the time, no other user is entering the data into the same record at the same time, still this error comes and have to refresh and restart the db several times to get over it.

Could anyone please tell me what is the reason and how to overcome it?

Any help would really be appreciated.
