Hello,

I have a database with table with almost all the fields.

I have a form, where I can make a new record, and I can edit current record...

In the form, should be all the records, and when I open it, I can Browse the records, but instead of that, I get a form, with no record, and in the bottom, instead of having "record X of Y", I have "record 1 of 1", even if there are more, and this one is to insert a new record, not to edit one.

Can you help me with it?
Thank you very much

Ofek

It sounds like you have the default mode set to addnew instead of edit.

How can I change it?
Thank You :)

Design the form and go to the form properties and make the necessary amendments and save the form.

I cna't find it... maybe because I'm using it not in english...
Is it "next default"? or "default next"?

What version of Access are you using?

I use Access 2007.
I found this field, and it is set to 'No'...
Is it OK?
because it is still not working.... :(

Can you post a copy of your db to look at?

While we are talking, I looked at the Query that the form is based on, and I saw there are not any records in there, and I looked in design mode, and saw the Combination connection... It was set between 'brothers', and another table with other fields, and because I didn't put brothers, and it is set to give only the conected firelds (ID...), it didn't show them, so I changed it to show them...

Thank you anyway for helping me and about your willingness :))

So the problem was not with your form but the forms underlying query. Glad you got it resolved.:)

If you have a questions about other things I understand (I don't belive there are...), ask :)

another question, not im[ortant, but I would be happy if I will solve it ;)
I have an ID (auto numbering field..)... I don't have any records now, but it is starting fron No. 2, because I did "experiment"... :)
Is there a way to restart the numbering?
Thank you very much :))))))))

If you run a compact and repair on a blank table it will start from 1
