i have produced a query that groups records together by suppliers.

i want to edit one on the fields so that all the records with that supplier have the same value.

but when i try to edit it, access just says "the recordset is not updatable".

is there anyway of getting round this?

Grouping renders a query 'un-updateable'. Try using an UPDATE query once you know which groups you need to change. HTH JT
