Hi everyone!

The question I’m gonna ask I’ve already seen before, but nobody knew an answer, so I’ll try again: Is there any ways to refresh a Pivot Table without going in to one and pressing refresh button?

Thank for reading…

pivot refresh

pivot table just links to Excel using OLE but Refresh event has to happen in Excel ... not in access ... This is based on the help on Access 97 ... i havent found a way to refresh in excel automatically ...

is it the options... dialog box on the pivot table with the "Refresh on Open" option that you are talking about or is there any other way ...

the solution

The thing is that the solution is DO NOT use the pivot table. What I used is MS Excel to display information and MS Query to create a query. By selection in MS Excel option: Data Range Properties you can set Refresh Data On File Open. That’s it.
