I am in the process of creating a new helpdesk database that will be used on a number of PC's eventually running via Citrix. The jobs will be entered into the system by one person and ideally everyone else will be able to select and accept the jobs from a list box as they come in.
I have managed to get the forms to refresh automatically when a job is accepted with the use of a timer control which refreshes every few seconds. The problem I am having is if two or more people try and accept the same job at the same time, when this happens I get various error messages.
What I am wanting to know is if this type of system is possible using MS Access or should I be looking at something else?
