Okay I'm a newbie when it comes to access I can make a table form etc but when it comes to relationships I don't understand it full stop. I have mentioned before I am trying to make a database for my dads volentry medical service. This database would be for when they cover big event over a weekend or week and would be used for keeping a record of whos been treated etc...

Basicly its made up of 5 tables.

Primary Info
Triage
Medical History
Treatment
Departure

It is all done on one form using tabs. What I want it to be able to do is that every paitent has the auto number and I want these to be linked together. I have done this...

It works fine BUT...

The form will only open on record one of one and open the first paitent. Although there are about 15 records already in there I can't bring them up. Which is important. What am i doing wrong? Can someone assist me please?

It does not work fine.

You need to go down the road and buy a basic book on Access.

Please do this. I am not trying to insult you but you need to learn some basics.

Other than that use google and search for tutorials.

Search for striveforpeace.

It may help.

Justin, before you write or design anything else in Access, please search for the following topics using your favorite web search tool like Google or Yahoo or Ask.

Inside Access itself, you should read up on Normalization.

Visit www.wikipedia.org and look up Database Normalization.

Search the web for articles on Database Normalization. When selecting which articles to read, only bother with things published by colleges or universities you recognize, or database vendors like ORACLE and SYBASE and INGRES and BORLAND plus a few others.

Continue reading those articles until you reach the point where you read two articles in a row where you already knew everything the article told you. At that point, you are ready to begin designing a normalized database. If you don't normalize, it will still be possible to make it work but the level of effort skyrockets as you add each new non-normalized table.
