okay, attachment one is a screenshot of my relationships.
the database is for a project im doing. customers take their cars to be fitted with new tyres, and charged as applicable depending on the type of the tyre.
i have created a autoform from a query 'invoice entry'. this query allows me to enter a customer ID at the top in the form and press enter. then the details of the customer change accordingly. this bit seems to work.
i wanted to create a form so that when a customer ID is entered, the customers info comes up and their car info also comes up (so ive added all the fields into the query that i want then pressed autoform). for a start it only shows one record, then if i try and enter a difrerent customer id number it beeps at me. it doesnt say why, just beeps (well, that ding noise) and wont let me change any data in the fields.
i am assuming my relationships are wrong?
im really confused if anyone could help id be really grateful, thanks

You need more than one query and form to do this. You need a main form and more than one subForm to be able to enter tyres fitted for one car. You don't need two date fields either, if you fitted new tyres today or last week, the last entered date will show you this.

Oh! so the relationships are ok after all then? I just tried the subform thing, and it does seem to work! Thanks. can you get the subform to look like the rest of the form, or does it have to stay looking like a table on a form?
sorry to be so unknowledgable, im a bit of a newbie to access :)

Change the default view from datasheet to continuous forms on the subForm property sheet
