Great site all :)
having a few probs with setting up self populating tables from relationships

I have a Job Setup that would have one customer and one price list with variable items.
but it would also have multiple forms for the Job which also include multiple materials (by loads) and multiple Vehicles ( by Hours)
the Main Form is what is worked on and im trying to feed back up to higher tables and pull down prices (ie pulling price of Vehicle dependent on the Job number)
my relationship looks like this
am i heading in right direction
Bear in Mind atm Main is the most commonly used form
any help Greatly appreciated :)

Use left joins off Main. otherwise all tables have to have records to get a Main record.

but you may not be able to do everything just by linking tables

eg - if you have a history of prices in the price table - then you will not be able to select just one price from the price table. you are probably better trying to design queries to draw together the information you want.

and often, open a new form to show different data, rather than try to get it all in one.

depended what you want your interface to look like, really.
