Question Relationships

Sorry i'm kinda new to this, the reason i joined the forum is because i'm creating a database system for my brother who is a sound engineer, and i cant figure out some things which is driving me crazy! In the attachement is a screenshot of the relationships between all my tables, what i am looking to do is create a form which allows the user to add a gig to the order table, and i want the form to have drop down lists of Band_Name and Venue_Name, but according to Microsoft Access i'm not allowed to, no messages appear when i add the gig but when i go to the order table the Band ID or Venue ID doesnt change. sorry if this is a really stupid or overly comlpicated question but im really stuck . Thanks very much

Do you have any look up tables that you could use to populate the band names etc?

IE

tblLUBand
1.band A
2.band B
etc

tblLUVenue
1.venue A
2.venue B

This would allow you to use a combo box and store the number in the appropriate field.

How 'bout a screen print of the form in design view?

I've got a feeling your form, or at least the drop down lists, are not bound to tblOrder.

Just an FYI to make your life easier: you shouldn't name objects in the database with special characters or spaces.

Ahh they aren't bound, i cant figure out how to do it though sorry if I'm seeming very stupid here, thanks for your help.
