I have cases where I need to have users of a database to replace a table because the structure has changed. The users are not very good about how to delete the exsisting table and then perform a data import function.

Is there a way to automate this process?

Thanks in advance - John

Usually I have 2 databases I send out, a blank new DB and an upgrade DB. The blank New DB is named with a NEW prefix/suffix and the upgrade DB basically links to the old DB and the new DB (via code) and copies all the old data to the new DB. It then renames the old file (usually with a backup suffix) and the new file to the old DB name.
I have found that 1> this is more trouble for the developer to design this upgrade and 2> Users have much less problems with this also 3> not near as much trouble after the fact.

Just my thoughts.
