Remove Border from image

I have a SQL Server 2005 backend to an Access 2007 front end (ODBC). When I add an image, the border from the picture is inserted also. How do I remove the border from the picture? I usually compress the pictures to web small in Microsoft Picture Manager but I can't fiquire out how to remove the border when inserting pictures. The pictures are inserted directly into the database.

I found a solution by using a free image converter software program. I convert the pictures to bitmap and then put them in the database. The images no longer import with a large white border, when I shrink the size of the photo.
