This may seem like a silly question, but I can’t find the answer to it on this forum. People only say 'Remove the table links' but never how. I can’t seem to be able to remove the table links completely, so I only have one database file (no backend or frontend). I can’t seem to do it though the Table link manager or any other way. Any help?

Thanks in advance

To remove the links select each table and hit the delete key and say yes. Make sure you don't do this to tables that aren't linked, otherwise it will delete the table, but the confirmation messages are different so you won't wonder which was which.

thanks, a second question, on my backend, i want have set a password so only i can gain access to the backend data. But when i try and relink the tables (and ive read that i should be prompted with the password screen so i can enter in the password and it stores it for future use) but currently, when i relink them, it says Invalid password without prompting me to enter any password.

Any ideas to get round this?

Many thanks

hmm, not sure on that one as I don't use that set-up. Have you tried closing both databases first, after deleting the first links and possibly rebooting? It's a long-shot, but you never know.

actually, i managed to link them another way (as the only way i knew was to split it again) so it was kinda my own mistake, many thanks for your help :)
