Report Design & queries problem.

Beginner. When I attempt to use Repot Design to create a report from a query, no queries appear in the Field List window on the right side of the screen. (I can create a report from the query using the wizard but I want to fully design my report.) How do I get the queries to appear in the Field List when using Report Design?

two options

1. enter the name of your query in the report recordsource (on the data tab) property - it will use typeahead

2. on the report recordsource property, click on the 3 dot carat to open a query window and create your query there.

once the recoursource has been populated with a valid entry, you will see the available fields
