Has anyone had problems trying to create reports from an Access 2013 web app? When I try to create the client only database I get the following error "Microsoft Access can't connect you to the database right now. This might be a result of missing drivers or a general problem contacting the server. -We recommend you install the SQL Server 2012 native client Drivers...."
I have tried to install the recommended software (going to the download site it directs you to, and installing Microsoft® SQL Server® 2012 Feature Pack,) but still get the same error.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to resolve this
Thanks.

Sorry, I'm always doing this - posting a question and then answering it myself - but in case anyone else has the same problem I found this link
http://kb.jetreports.com/article/AA...-Azure-SQL-data-source-in-Jet-Essentials.html
and installed the right driver using the links given
SQL Server 2012 Native Client
32-bit Package: http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=239647&clcid=0x409
64-bit Package: http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=239648&clcid=0x409

64bit in my case - and it all works now. So I guess I thought I had installed the relevant client, but obviously hadn't.

Hi Jane,

it looks like you've already solved your issue but just to confirm, yes you need to install that SQL Server 2012 Native Client driver on your machine in order to use the Create Reports functionality. Access uses that driver to make the connections to the SQL Azure tables for your Access web app on Office 365. If you have other people also needing to use that functionality to connect to the web app tables they will have to install the driver on their machine as well.
