Hey guys,

I am trying to generate a report for the project, this is what I have been doing:

I open the report wizard and add 2-3 tables because of the information I need from them. Instead of displaying all the information across the top and then everything under, they separate and everything that came from one table is displayed but whatever is from another table looks cut off =/

How can I just get everything side by side?

Also I need to display "current date" at the top. Anyone know how? =)

Well wizards are helpfull sometimes, but nothing beats a manually designed Object. Best thing would be to build a query with the fields u need in your report, then build a report in design view and design it exactly to suit your needs, just fiddle and play around till u get it right. You might take a peek at the reports in Northwind to get u on the way. As for the current date, open the report in design view, go to Insert>Time and choose among the different formats.

Thanks, I've been trying to design it manually, I have the query for it, the problem is I dont know how to put the query in the blank design!? Do I just drag it in there or?

If you click New for report then Design View and right click in the blank area of the screen that opens and click Properties one of the tabs will be for Data. From there you select your query or table as the data source. That is for Access 2003 and earlier. 2007 might be different.

Thanks for the quick response! What I did was construct a query and drag it in =) Thanks!

My next report I am suppose to use a feature called "Force New Page" that way each employees information opens in a new page. Any idea on how to do this?

Right-click on the section footer where you want to force a new page. Change the Force New PAge to the option you require (I normally only ever use "after section").

You can do the same for the section header with different results.
