I have a report with text boxes in a Group footer. The source of the data in the Text boxes is something like this: =nz(dsum(...))

Some results turn out to be blanks (which is what I want), but some DSUMs turn out to be zeros. How do I suppress zeroes in the text boxes?

2 decimal places result in these numbers: 0.00

Thanks.

Surely if the result of a sum is 0 then I would expect to see 0 no nothing. To the uninnitiated this may imply that the sum has not worked. Why do you want the answer to blank?

But to answer you question

= iif(Nz(Sum(..),0) = 0,"",Sum(..))

Showing zeroes is confusing to the user and they do not look at data that is zero. Showing only non-zeroes makes the relevant non-zero data stand out.

Showing data that is not used or relevant actually detracts from the usability of an application.
